Fullmetal Alchemist
Fullmetal Alchemist is an anime that left a lasting impression on me as a child. The story of two brothers on a search for the Philosopher's Stone really hooked me, and I later sought it out to finish watching the series. While it differs from the manga, I think the original anime had a stronger beginning than its counterpart, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which follows the manga more closely. Both versions are worth watching and offer different perspectives on the story. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a thrilling adventure and a well-developed story
Naruto
Naruto is a massive anime series that can provide months of entertainment when you combine all the episodes and movies. It follows the ninja life of Naruto, who seeks recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village. The story also explores the world where Naruto lives with his classmates and teachers. Although the anime has many episodes, the drawing style and relatable story make it enjoyable to watch. Additionally, there's a sequel anime called Boruto that follows Naruto's son as he struggles to live up to his father's achievements.
Inuyasha
Inuyasha is an anime that had to take a hiatus due to funding issues but eventually continued until it concluded. It tells the story of Kagome Higurashi, a high school girl who is transported to the past and meets the half-demon Inuyasha. Together, they search for the shards of the Shikon Jewel while battling demons and other foes.The anime also has a sequel series called Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, which follows the adventures of Inuyasha and Kagome's daughter, Moroha, as well as the daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha's brother, Inuyasha and Sango's son.
Clannad
Clannad and Clannad After Story are emotional rollercoaster anime that follow the main character's slice of life story with twists and turns. The first anime introduces the main character, a boy who is unhappy at home and wants to leave town. However, his life changes when he meets a girl who wants to revive the drama club at school. While there are some parts of the anime that may seem weird, they are rooted in Japanese culture and history. Overall, both Clannad and Clannad After Story are must-watch anime that are sure to leave a lasting impact.
To Your Eternity
To Your Eternity is a current ongoing anime that I'm currently watching. The anime follows the story of an immortal being named Fushi who explores a harsh world, makes friends, and fights against the Nokkers. Throughout the series, Fushi learns about the world and experiences emotions such as happiness, pain, and love. One interesting aspect of Fushi is his ability to copy the beings that hurt him or love him. Additionally, the opening soundtrack is also noteworthy and adds to the overall enjoyment of the anime.
Blood-C
Blood-C is anime I stumbled upon when I was younger. Anime revolves around a high school student named Saya Kisaragi who is also a monster slayer. At first glance, Saya's town seems peaceful, but as she faces the monsters that threaten her town, she uncovers a sinister truth. With the support of her friends and her sword, Saya fights to protect her town and uncover the truth behind the monsters. But as she delves deeper, she realizes that the truth is more terrifying than she ever imagined. Despite not remembering all the details, I may rewatch it.
Sword Art Online
Sword Art Online is an anime about a teen named Kirito trapped in a virtual game, forced to clear 100 levels to escape. He meets Asuna and they fall in love, and lose some of his companions along the way as they struggle to survive in the virtual world.. The show has side stories, like SAO II where Kirito stops a criminal using a game to commit crimes. SAO: Alicization and War of Underworld follow Kirito in a new virtual world. There are also movies, like Ordinal Scale, taking place after season 2, and Progressive, a retelling of the original story with more details.
Tokyo Revenger
Tokyo Revengers I am currently watching this anime is about that follows the story of Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-year-old man who learns that his middle school girlfriend and her brother have been killed by a gang known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. In an unexpected turn of events, Takemichi time-travels to his middle school days, giving him the chance to save his girlfriend and change the course of their tragic fate. Along the way, Takemichi must navigate the dangerous world of gang violence and confront his own regrets and mistakes from the past. The anime explores themes of friendship, redemption, and the consequences of our actions.
